Once you regain access, take these steps to prevent the same issue from recurring:
Locate and remove the round (CR2032) from the motherboard.
Forgetting a password is frustrating, but when that password is for your (Digital Video Recorder), it can feel like a security crisis. Your DVR is the brain of your surveillance system; without access, you cannot review footage, adjust recording schedules, or even view live feeds.
Keep holding for 15–30 seconds until you hear a beep or see the system reboot.
Enter the DVR's date into the tool to receive a one-time bypass code.
Look at the live camera grid on your monitor. Note the exact displayed by the system clock. It does not matter if the date is incorrect or set to a past year (e.g., 2000-01-01); the master password relies strictly on whatever date the DVR currently believes it is. Step 2: Generate the Master Code
Open the case of the DVR (usually via screws on the back or sides). Locate the coin-sized on the motherboard.
