Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT)

The eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT) has been developed to help organisations offering their users eduroam access.  The tool builds customised installers for a range of popular PC and smartphone platforms and enhances the security for the end user.

The tool ensures that users are protected against rogue wi-fi hotspots accessing usernames and passwords.
The tool builds a specific  configuration for each participating organisation and so users should ensure they are downloading the correct installer.  If your organisation is not listed on the CAT website then please contact your institutions IT department for advice.

To see the list of supported devices, go to https://cat.eduroam.org and click on "About CAT"

The philosophy behind skinning lies in the "Human-Computer Interaction" (HCI) principle that a user’s emotional state significantly impacts their productivity and enjoyment. When a user applies a minimalist skin like Carefree , they aren't just changing colors; they are curating a focused environment by stripping away visual noise. Conversely, skins that emulate nostalgic hardware—like old tube televisions or 90s stereo systems—serve as a digital preservation of design history, allowing modern software to inherit the tactile "soul" of physical objects.

Replace legacy gradients and bulky borders with clean, flat, minimalist, or dark-mode designs that match Windows 11 and modern UI trends.

A sleek, deep gray and black theme with neon blue accents that provides excellent contrast and minimal visual distraction.
