Fans know that Flygod has been teasing Still Praying as a potential follow-up to And Then You Pray For Me (2023). However, this zip file appears to contain unmixed reference tracks, alternate takes, and 4 unreleased songs that didn't make the final cut of Pray For Paris or 10 .
“Still Prayinzip” isn’t a simple slogan; it’s the aesthetic engine. It’s the idea that, despite the shine and the noise, there’s an internal ledger: gratitude for those still with him, memory for those lost, and a steady, stubborn faith in the work. It’s a mood—luxury touched by grief, bravado threaded with tenderness. Here, prayer isn’t passive—it's a posture, a steady hand on the wheel as Westside Gunn steers between haute couture and the heartbreak of the block. westside gunn still prayingzip
He reached the stoop of the old community center where a handful of kids now learned graffiti technique and audio mixing, where someone taught them to splice a sample into a beat and call it their own. Inside, a small crowd had gathered — not glamorous, but full of the kind of warmth the rain never reached. A girl with a camera snapped a photo of a turntable; an older man tuned a mic. It was organized chaos, the honest kind.
To understand "Still Praying," one must look back at the original "Praying," a standout cut from Westside Gunn’s 2016 debut studio album, Flygod . That track, produced by the late, great DJ Shay, was a haunting, slow-burning anthem that encapsulated the "Griselda sound": dusty samples, heavy drums, and bars that oscillated between the trauma of the past and the luxury of the present.

"But in those moments of darkness, I've found a strange kind of solace in my faith, my family, and my music. is my way of processing those emotions, of finding a way forward, even when the road ahead seems uncertain."

Three blocks down, the chop shop where he’d made and lost deals had shuttered last winter. He'd walked away then, or maybe they'd walked him out — the memory blurred at the edges. A year had passed full of small reckonings: calls unanswered, a court date postponed, his sister packing a duffel and leaving a note that said, "Find yourself." Sometimes the finders were the hardest to please.
Westside Gunn ’s , released on November 1, 2024, marks a definitive "return to form" for the Griselda Records founder. Positioned as the third and final installment in a thematic trilogy following Pray for Paris and And Then You Pray for Me , the project sheds the polarizing trap influences of its predecessor in favor of the raw, grimy "boom-bap" production that defined the Buffalo rapper's rise.
