If you are unsure, open the Task Manager while the game is running; look under the “Details” tab – the column “Platform” will tell you whether the game’s executable is 32‑bit or 64‑bit.

Keep a spare mouse unplugged or use keyboard shortcuts ( Alt + F4 or Tab ) to navigate. Restarting the computer in Safe Mode will allow you to open x360ce and disable the exclusive option safely. Game Crashes on Launch

One of the most powerful features in the 4.x Alpha branch is the ability to hide your physical controller from the system so only the emulated "Xbox 360" controller is visible. This prevents double input issues

Close all game launchers, launch x360ce first to lock in Exclusive Mode, and then open your game launcher. Keyboard and Mouse Freeze x360ce+41000+alpha+exclusive

Download the x360ce 4.10.0 Alpha executable from the official repository or trusted development channels. Extract it to a dedicated folder (e.g., C:\Program Files\x360ce ).

Click the Auto button at the bottom of the interface. The program will attempt to match standard layouts based on common device profiles.

Controller compatibility issues are a constant hurdle for PC gamers. While Modern XInput-based controllers work seamlessly with most titles, older DirectInput gamepads, flight sticks, racing wheels, and generic controllers often fail to register. For years, the Xbox 360 Controller Emulator (x360ce) has bridged this gap. If you are unsure, open the Task Manager

You must first install the ViGEmBus driver, which is the backbone for virtual controller emulation in the 4.x series.

Unzip the downloaded archive into the game’s executable folder (where the game’s .exe file resides). You do not need to install anything system‑wide.

By bypassing local DLL restrictions, it works with newer titles that frequently block modified game files for anti-cheat reasons. Game Crashes on Launch One of the most

| Feature | 4.10.0.0 Alpha Exclusive | Later builds (4.15+ / 4.17+) | |---------|---------------------------|-------------------------------| | Architecture | Separate 32‑bit and 64‑bit executables | AnyCPU (single file) | | Stability | Very stable for many legacy controllers | Improved but may break old hardware | | Virtual driver | ViGEmBus, installed manually | Same, but often auto‑updated | | Cloud profiles | Minimal | Heavy reliance on cloud settings | | Manual control | Full manual mapping | Many automatic overrides |

Start the game normally. The game should now recognize your controller as an Xbox 360 controller. Keep x360ce minimized in the background—do not close it completely, as that may break the emulation.
